Order terms and conditions
Chiaro Hobbyhorses delivers products via this webshop only to Finland for now. We are currently working on making it available to purchase abroad. Products abroad are sold through ChiaroHobbyhorses' Etsy shop. Customers under the age of 18 must have a guardian's permission to shop. Chiaro Hobbyhorses sells to private persons and to businesses; but we do not allow resale of our products.
Prices
All the prices include VAT 25,5%. Prices don't include the shipping cost, which is formed from processing and shipping costs and is determined by the size and weight of the order. Additional import fees might apply to the USA when the order is being delivered. Chiaro Hobbyhorses reserves the right to update online store prices if necessary.
Products
We are not responsible for products breaking due to wear, or caused by wrong usage or wrong storage.
Hobbyhorses
Hobbyhorses are handmade, and every single one is a unique individual.
Hobbyhorses are sized between A6 to A3. The diameter of the stick is 24 mm and the length 50-70cm, which of, there's 30-60 cm outside the horse, depending on the size of the hobbyhorse. Pencil hobbyhorses have a pencil as a stick, the diameter of which is 6 mm, and 10-13 cm showing outside the horse.
Hobbyhorses are being delivered either without stuffing, with stuffing, or with stuffing and a stick, according to the customer's choice. When you buy the hobbyhorse with a stick, the stick is already attached to the hobbyhorse.
Hobbyhorses and tack made by Chiaro Hobbyhorses are hobby and collection items. The products are not suitable for children under 3 years of age as they contain small parts.
Please store hobbyhorses correctly: inside, don't wet, don't open the mouth or otherwise pull apart the hobbyhorse, so it stays in good condition as long as possible.
Tack
Chiaro Hobbyhorses is not responsible for the incompatibility of the tack with other than Chiaro Hobbyhorses' hobbyhorses. The exception is custom-made equipment made to the measurements provided by the customer. The measurements of the tack are stated on the product page, so you can ensure the tack is suitable for your own hobbyhorse.
Tack should be put on the hobbyhorse correctly. This will ensure that the piece of tack and the hobbyhorse last a long time. For example, the throatlatch on a halter, and the noseband and throatlatch on a bridle should always be unfastened so that they do not get stuck in the mouth or under the chin, which could cause the straps to stretch when the bridle is put on.
When ordering tack, please note that they are wearing parts. Especially tack containing glued parts should not be stored in excessively hot or cold conditions, or soaked, as this may cause the glue to soften and come loose. Tack should be stored indoors, as straight as possible, preferably hanging.
The example photos are for reference only; each piece of tack is always unique. Due to the production batches of the materials, the tone of the tack materials, such as faux leather, may differ slightly from the example photo.
The measurements are indicative; there may be slight differences, as all tack is made individually by hand.
Materials
We aim to deliver materials in cut-to-size, uniform pieces (for example, if you order 3 pieces = 3 meters of nylon webbing, you will receive a three-meter piece). Sometimes there may be a smaller piece left over from the product, in which case the product will be sent in the packaging size indicated by the quantity (for example, three one-meter pieces of nylon webbing, etc.). If you need a uniform strap/ribbon or fabric, please mention this when ordering.
Due to lighting conditions, the images may not perfectly match the color tone of the final product. Due to the production batches of the materials, the tone/shade of the materials, such as fabrics, may differ slightly from the example photos.
The materials we sell are not suitable for toy manufacturing.
Digital products: patterns and gift cards
Patterns are delivered to the customer's email as a downloadable file. You can also choose to buy the pattern as a ready-cut paper form, which is sent to you by mail.
Gift cards are delivered as a downloadable file via email.
Delivery of digital, downloadable products is free, please select email delivery at checkout.
Other products and discontinued products
Other products and discontinued products are subject to the terms and conditions listed above, if applicable.
Discontinued products are products that are no longer going to be available for sale once they sell. These products can't be returned.
Delivery terms
Chiaro Hobbyhorses is an online store. The address is Kukkamontie 10, 66470 Jukaja, FINLAND, from where you can pick up your order if you wish.
Chiaro Hobbyhorses mainly uses the parcel services of PostNord, Matkahuolto/GLS, Posti, and UPS. All of the listed are not available in all countries.
The products are delivered either as a letter or as a package by the customer's choice. The shipping price varies depending on the destination country, size, and weight of the order. Lettermail doesn't include tracking, but you can choose tracking (package) for your order if you wish. Delivery with tracking costs more, that's why we also offer lettermail abroad. Packages are delivered to a parcel machine or pickup point, from where the customer collects them based on the text message or other arrival notification received. In some countries, the packages are delivered to the door or other safe place at the destination address (USA, for example).
The estimated delivery time for trackable orders inside Europe is 3-7 business days, and outside Europe, 6-8 days. For lettermail (no tracking), it's 5-15 days in Europe and 7-20 days outside Europe. Please note that these are just estimations, especially since lettermail arrival times can vary a lot per country. In case of delivery delays or other problems, please contact the shipping company responsible for shipping your order first.
Shipping costs vary depending on the delivery method and destination country. Free pickup is possible from the Jukaja, FINLAND warehouse. Gift cards and digital patterns are delivered by email as an attachment without shipping costs. If you prefer, you can also purchase the pattern in paper form, in which case it will be delivered by mail.
Chiaro Hobbyhorses is not responsible for uncollected shipments. Usually, the delivery companies keep packages for 7-14 days, after which they are returned to the sender. A returned package can be resent by prepaying the shipping cost. We keep returned shipments for 14 days. If the contract period is exceeded, the payment will be refunded to the customer, excluding shipping costs and any handling fees incurred.
The processing time for a finished product is 1-3 business days, and for custom-made equipment, 1-7 business days. The processing time (time to make an item) for a custom-made stick horse is 10-36 business days. After this, the order is transferred to shipping. The delivery time for digital, downloadable products is 1-2 business days. Processing times may be slightly longer during the Holiday season (November-December).
Chiaro Hobbyhorses is not responsible for any delay in delivery caused by an obstacle beyond its control, such as a strike.
Payment methods
Chiaro Hobbyhorses currently accepts the following payment methods:

-Cash on pickup (only for orders that are picked up from the warehouse)
Production of a product paid for by self-service bank transfer, MobilePay, or invoice will not begin, or a ready-made product will not be shipped until payment has been received.
Payment must be made within 14 days of the order; otherwise, the order will be automatically canceled. Not including the invoice, which is subject to normal invoicing practice, the invoice cannot be canceled unless specifically agreed. Late payment interest will accrue on the invoice, and a reminder fee will be added for payment reminders.
Delivery methods and shipping costs abroad
Delivery
Physical products are delivered by PostNord, UPS, Matkahuolto/GLS, or Posti, depending on the country of destination. Digital products are delivered by email. If the customer provides incorrect delivery information, the customer is responsible for any costs incurred. If you have provided incorrect delivery information, please contact us immediately by email: khtchiaro@gmail.com. If the shipment is returned to the sender due to incorrect delivery information, the returned package can be resent by prepaying the shipping cost. We store returned shipments for 14 days. If the contract period is exceeded, the payment will be refunded to the customer, excluding shipment costs and any handling fees incurred.
Shipping costs
The shipping costs for an order consist of handling and shipping costs. The shipping cost is determined at checkout based on the size and weight of the product, and on the destination country. For digital, downloadable products, there's no shipping cost.
Note: Only UPS carries packages to the USA currently, so the shipping price is higher because of that. There's no cheaper lettermail option available currently. In the USA, additional import fees might apply. The customer gets informed about this and needs to pay the import fee. The fee can be prepaid online or during delivery, but please note there's an extra $12 fee when paying on delivery.
Prices vary by the shipping company you choose and by the destination country. The prices can be seen in the cart.
The parcels are, in most countries, delivered to a pickup point or parcel locker, from where the customer needs to pick them up. The customer will be notified by a text message. Lettermail (orders with no tracking) is delivered to a mailbox, etc. In the USA, parcels are delivered to the door. If the import fee has not been paid and the receiver is not at home, the package will be taken to a pickup point.
Delivery times depend on the country; lettermail to Europe is 5-15 business days, and outside Europe, 7-20 days. Packages (orders with tracking) usually take 3-7 days inside Europe and 6-8 days outside Europe.

Cancellation and return policies and complaints
Cancellation
An order for a ready-made item can be cancelled before a tracking code has been generated for the order (items have been packed and shipment paid), or when lettermail has been sent. An order for a custom-made product, cut-to-measure product, or digital product cannot be cancelled. An uncollected shipment or unpaid invoice does not constitute a cancellation; orders must be cancelled by emailing khtchiaro@gmail.com.
Returns
Ready-made items ordered have a 14-day right of return. Custom-made products, or similar products (custom-made hobbyhorses and tack), as well as products cut to size (fabrics, ribbons, strass, rhinestone chains), do not have a right of return. Digital products (patterns and gift cards) also do not have a right of cancellation after delivery and can't be returned. The product must be resalable, i.e., unused, and must be returned within 14 days of delivery. You must contact us via email about returning the product khtchiaro@gmail.com.
There is a 5€ ($5,89) handling fee for returning, and it will be deducted from the amount to be returned; any shipping costs won't be returned either. In addition, when returning, the customer pays any shipping costs. For the refund, we generally use online banking or MobilePay, depending on the original payment method. The payment will be refunded as soon as the product arrives back, and its condition has been checked. If necessary, the returner must prove that the product has been returned to the seller within the specified time limit (receipt or other document). If the product is returned without a tracking number, the return is the customer's responsibility until Chiaro Hobbyhorses receives the product back.
Complaints
If your order has been damaged in transit or is incorrect, please contact khtchiaro@gmail.com. The customer is obliged to check the order immediately upon arrival and contact us as soon as possible, but within 14 days. A certificate from a transport company, such as UPS, must be provided for a damaged shipment; otherwise, compensation or return is not possible.
