Origin of products
This is a list of the countries of origin and/or procurement of the products sold in the online store, as well as the materials used to make the products. The country where it was acquired from is mentioned separately if it is different from the country of origin.
The exact country of origin is not known for all products, or it varies (in Asia, for example, Vietnam, Korea, or China). We will do our best to clarify this information and find replacement suppliers if the information about the origin is not disclosed.
Chiaro Hobbyhorses strives to be responsible and sustainable by choosing high-quality, durable, primarily Finnish and European materials, as well as operators for purchasing materials. Materials are primarily purchased from small entrepreneurs and smaller companies, if possible.
We use a lot of recycled materials to make some tack, purchased from recycling centers, such as metal parts, ribbons, artificial leather, and fabrics.
*We also use materials that I have received from, for example, my parents, grandparents, or my spouse's grandparents. This way, the materials already purchased will not be unused and wasted. The origin list has been made according to these brands and will be updated when these received materials run out.
The hobbyhorses and tack themselves are made in Finland, by hand at Chiaro Hobbyhorses from the materials listed below.
